The Oster Model 220 Roll Groover is specifically designed for those Contractors utilizing "Thin wall" Pipe in connection with cast iron couplings of the Victaulic, Gustin-Bacon, Conac, etc. types. The Model 220 will also groove standard (Schedule 40) pipe.
The Bestgroover is driven by the powerful Oster Universal Motor that generates up to 2 H.P. Power is transmitted to the rollers by direct gear drive for trouble free operation. The 20,000 pound hydraulic ram and the universal motor enable the operator to complete the groove very quickly; on many sizes only one and one half pipe revolutions are required.
The interlocking rollers and micrometer adjustment depth gauge reduce to a minimum the time required between grooves and assure an accurate groove every time.
Standard Equipment
Motor - SINGLE PHASE Universal, Reversible, variable speed - specify either 120 or 240 volt. AC, 1 phase 50-60 Hz. Rated 1/2HP, develops up to 2HPSwitch - Heavy duty, reversing. Safety foot switch also included. Operator must have foot on this switch for machine to operate.
Hydraulic Ram - 20,000 P.S.I, manually actuated pump.
Grooving Rollers - 5 to cover the range, two top (2" thru 6") (8" thru 12") and three bottom (2" thru 3") (3.5" thru 6") (8" thru 12")
Depth Adjustment- Micrometer type positive action depth stop.
Bearings - Timken tapered main bearings.
Other - Roller type.
